How Ayurveda Works at Our Clinic
Not a generic overview of Ayurveda, but a clear look at how this clinic applies its principles — through personalised evaluation, traditional formulations, and steady follow-up care.
The Three Pillars of Ayurveda
Dosha
Your Unique Constitution
Three biological energies (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) that govern all body functions. Health begins with understanding your unique balance.
Agni
The Transformative Fire
The digestive and metabolic fire that transforms food into nourishment. Strong Agni is associated with good health, while weak Agni may lead to accumulation of Ama (toxins).
Dhatu
Seven Tissue Layers
Seven sequential tissue layers (Rasa, Rakta, Mamsa, Meda, Asthi, Majja, Shukra) each nourished by the previous. Health is observed when all seven are well-nourished.
When all three are in harmony, the body maintains its natural state of wellness.
Our Assessment Approach
Each consultation at Santanalaxmi Ayurvedic Clinic begins with understanding the whole person. Rather than focusing on a single symptom, Dr Sri Ramulu considers your history, habits, constitution, and current condition. This thorough, patient assessment is the foundation of everything that follows.
The doctor listens carefully, asks questions about your daily routine, diet, sleep, and family background, and observes signs that may not appear in a laboratory report. This is how Ayurveda has always worked — by seeing the person before the problem.
Traditional Formulations
The clinic uses traditional Ayurvedic formulations refined through decades of practice and guru parampara. These are not general-purpose remedies prescribed to everyone who walks in. Each formulation is selected after careful assessment, based on what the doctor observes and understands about your specific situation.
Many of these formulations draw on knowledge passed down through teachers and refined by Dr Sri Ramulu over more than five decades of clinical experience. The emphasis is always on suitability — what is appropriate for you, at this point in your care.
Follow-Up Philosophy
Ayurvedic care at this clinic is not a single-visit event. After the initial consultation, progress is reviewed, guidance is adjusted, and continuity is maintained. This patient, steady approach is central to how the clinic works.
Follow-up may happen in person or by phone, depending on your location and needs. The goal is always the same: to stay connected, observe how things are progressing, and make thoughtful adjustments when needed. You can read more in our Follow-Up & Continuity guide.
What Makes This Clinic Different
Five decades of practice. Family trust built across generations. And a quiet commitment to listening before acting. These are not marketing claims — they are the everyday reality of how consultations are conducted here.
Families who have been visiting for years often describe the experience in simple terms: the doctor takes time, remembers their history, and follows up. In a world of rushed appointments, this kind of care stands out — not because it is extraordinary, but because it is consistent. Learn more about the areas the clinic covers.
