Before & After Your Visit

A step-by-step timeline of your visit journey at Santanalaxmi Ayurvedic Clinic — from preparation through consultation to ongoing care.

Whether this is your first visit or a follow-up, this guide walks you through everything that happens before, during, and after your consultation. Every step is designed to help you feel comfortable and prepared. If you have questions at any point, reach out on WhatsApp and the clinic will be happy to help.

Before Your Visit

1

Choose Your Location and Day

The clinic operates from two locations. Suryapet is open Monday through Friday, and Hyderabad (Mansoorabad, LB Nagar) is available on weekends. Both locations are open from 9 AM to 9 PM. No appointment is needed — walk in at a time that suits you. See the Visit page for directions and maps.

2

Gather Your Health Information

Bring any recent medical reports, lab results, and a list of current medications (including dosages). If you have been consulting other doctors, their prescriptions are helpful too. None of this is strictly required, but it helps Dr Sri Ramulu understand your situation more quickly. See our What to Bring checklist for the complete list.

3

Write Down Your Questions

It helps to note your main concerns, how long symptoms have been present, and anything you specifically want to ask. During the consultation, it is easy to forget things you meant to discuss. A simple list on your phone or a piece of paper is enough.

4

Day-of Preparation

Eat lightly before your visit. Wear comfortable, loose clothing. If you are travelling from out of town, plan to arrive with some time to spare so you are relaxed and unhurried. There is no need to fast or follow any special preparation unless the clinic has specifically asked you to.

During Your Visit

5

Arrival and Welcome

There is no formal registration process. Walk in, let the staff know you are here, and wait your turn. The atmosphere at the clinic is calm and unhurried. If it is your first visit, the staff will guide you through the process.

6

The Consultation Conversation

Dr Sri Ramulu begins with a detailed conversation about your health history, present concerns, daily routine, diet, sleep, and overall wellbeing. This is not a rushed check-up — it is a careful listening process. Be open and honest about your symptoms, lifestyle, and any previous treatments. The more the doctor understands, the more personalised your guidance will be. Learn more about what to expect at your first consultation.

7

Traditional Assessment

The doctor may assess your pulse (Nadi Pariksha), observe your tongue, skin, and eyes, and ask further questions based on what he observes. These are traditional Ayurvedic examination methods that have been part of clinical practice for centuries. They help identify your Prakriti (constitution) and the nature of any imbalance. Understand more about how Ayurvedic assessment works.

8

Personalised Guidance and Prescription

Based on the assessment, Dr Sri Ramulu will explain what he has found and provide personalised guidance. This may include traditional formulations (kashayam, churnam, tailam, or other preparations), dietary recommendations, and lifestyle suggestions. Feel free to ask questions about anything you do not understand. Learn how to read your prescription in our Understanding Your Prescription guide.

After Your Visit

9

Starting Your Medicines

Follow the instructions given by the doctor for each formulation — timing, dosage, and how to take them. Some preparations are taken before meals, others after. If anything is unclear, call the clinic or WhatsApp for clarification. Do not stop any existing medications prescribed by other doctors without consulting them first.

10

Diet and Lifestyle Adjustments

The doctor may suggest specific dietary changes (called Pathya in Ayurveda) and lifestyle adjustments. These are an important part of the process — medicines work best when supported by the right diet and daily habits. Our Diet & Lifestyle During Treatment guide covers the details.

11

Track Your Progress

Keep a simple note of how you feel each week — any changes in symptoms, energy, sleep, or digestion. This helps the doctor evaluate your progress at the follow-up and adjust your guidance if needed. Our Preparing for Your Follow-Up guide has tips on what to track.

12

Follow-Up and Continued Care

Follow-up consultations are usually scheduled after 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your condition. For outstation patients, follow-ups can happen by phone, and medicines can be dispatched to your location. Ayurvedic care is often a gradual process — consistency and patience matter more than quick fixes. Read more about Follow-Up & Continuity of Care.

Important Things to Remember

There is no consultation fee at the clinic. This has been the practice since 1975. You pay only for medicines if they are prescribed.

No appointment is needed. Walk in during clinic hours at either location.

If you have questions before or after your visit, you can call +91 99084 54111 or message on WhatsApp.
